Ø An employee at this level, to the extent of their skills and experience undertakes indicative duties such as: Is in charge of a group of children.
Ø Develops, plans, implements and evaluates a developmentally appropriate program for a group of children.
Ø Ensures that records are maintained and up to date concerning each child in their care.
Ø Prepares experiences that facilitate and enhance childrens development based on theoretical and practical knowledge.
Ø Assists in the supervision and training of unqualified staff and assessment of students.
Ø Plans, implements and evaluates care routines for individual children and groups of children.
Ø Implements the policies, procedures and routines of the centre.
Ø Co-ordinates and directs the activities of unqualified staff.
Ø Liaises with families
